Answer: The real question is: Does it matter whether Afghanistan recognize the Durrand line or not? 50 years will pass and still Afghanistan will be weaker than Pakistan. Afghanistan can protest all they want. If both Pakistan and Afghanistan are clever nations, they will form a unified country. The name of this unified nation doesn't matter, call it Afghanistan and let Kabul be capital - who cares. The advantage is on both sides. Pakistan gets the land, while Afghanistan gets all of its claims and access to sea.
