allergy from aluminium?

Question: does anyone suffer with aluminium allergy? I get swoolen feet and itchy hands, feel unwell and tired after touching aluminium, have had to get rid of green house, and have now had a reaction from an aluminium ladder. does this seem possible or is the aluminium bit a coincidence. I was sure it was latex that was causing ulticara rashes and itching, but now think it is the metal any ideas? thanks, alf.

Answer: There have been cases reported, mostly in children from inoculations containing aluminium, and such things as antiperspirants containing aluminium certainly can cause dermatitis, so it's looking possible. No doubt your GP can arrange sensitivity tests for you.
